Ha! Ha!
I am heading to sunny LA tomorrow!
"Cindy and Scott are newlyweds! Whoop-pah-dee-doo!"
Yea, I am watching my favorite movie of all time, and the movie that inspired my alias (Julia Hart), The Wedding Singer.
I figured that after all the work I've done to be able to go on my VACATION, I deserve to watch this movie tonight.
Tomorrow can't come soon enough. I worked all weekend and didn't get a chance to do anything with what I edited over the weekend today. That'll have to wait until tomorrow. I was too busy putting out other fires. Dangit.
I heard from my friend, Cynthia (who is an entertainment lawyer in LA) this weekend. Remember, she used to know Ellen, who I never heard back from. But she's a fellow heart patient, so she's very cool! Cynthia suggested getting together while Will and I are there. But my sis, Lynn, wants me all to herself since we only see each other about once a year, and I haven't been there for 3 years. I feel the tug-o-war. Even though I would love to see Cynthia, Lynn wins. She is my sis, after all, and we are very close. I'll be calling Cynthia while I'm there and we can catch up that way.
I'm cool, I know. That's why everyone wants to hang out with me when I'm in LA. Well, really, it's just my sister. But at least I'm cool to her!
So I work with this guy, Carter. He's a really funny and witty guy with a dry sense of humor. He would get along well with RobbieMax. Well, Carter loves to watch romantic comedies with his family (by his own admission).
Can you believe that he has NEVER seen The Wedding Singer? I know! What is wrong with him?!
So I've decided to be magnanimous and let him borrow my Wedding Singer DVD when I'm gone. I know. He owes me. Big time.
Remember Bette? Her fiancee, Arthur (the real Bette Davis was married to Arthur Farnsworth, who died in 1943 -her only marriage not to end in divorce) is going to lend Will and I his portable DVD player for the flights. Isn't Arthur a prince? Bette is VERY LUCKY! She better hang on to Arthur!
Okay. I need to go to bed now. It's late and I have to finish my movie...

Julia...I just wanted to confirm that I really do love romantic comedies...but they have to be good. You've put The Wedding Singer on a high pedastal, so I hope it's as good as you say.
I also wanted to let you in on a new book I just saw at Borders, The Navigator by Eoin McNamee. It looks like the kind of book that would be right up Will's alley, and it's by an Irishman to top it off.
Have fun in the sun. Thanks for the mention here.
Carter
p.s. If you judge the man by the movies he's seen (or not) you might miss out.
